- Travel Dates and Lodging
- We have requested July 10 – July 17, but our travel window is July 6 – July 21.
- We will be notified of finalized dates in early March (about 110 days before departure)
- Hotel lists usually come around the end of April, but they are typically like a safe, no-frills hotel in the states.
- All rooms are ‘American style’ with private bathrooms.
- Students will be grouped in 2, 3, or 4 depending on the hotel.
- Adults will be grouped in 2. Adults may upgrade to a private room for a fee if preferred.
- Passports
- All passports must be confirmed by January 1st, failure to do so may delay notification of final travel dates for the entire group.
- To do this login to your EF account. (I can give your login number if needed.)
- You will need your passport in hand.
- The Easton Post Office requires appointments for passports.
- Ms. Nori, Ms. Shelley, and Mr. Brad will hold all passports while we on tour. (We have locking bank bags and store them in hotel safes.)
- Vaccinations/Medical Info
- No additional vaccines are required, just the normal ones for school
- If you have any individual concerns, review the recommendations for Greece and Italy on the CDC website.
- Emergency health forms will be distributed closer to our travel.
- Ms. Nori, Ms. Shelley, and Mr. Brad will hold medications while on tour if parents want.
- Carry-on Challenge

- Students are expected to do carry-on bags only on the way Italy.
- Carry-on bag size and weight details are listed below.
- Students are encouraged to pack a collapsible duffel to check clothing on the return trip. They should put souvenirs in their carry-on bag.

- Spending Money while abroad
- It is suggested that travelers use a separate account for the trip, not their regular banking. (That way if the card is stolen, the loss is limited.)
- We’ve found that Capital One works very well internationally and has little to no fees.
- We have also been working with the founder of Greenlight, a credit/debit card company that works specifically for kids and teens. These cards will work internationally with no fees https://www.greenlightcard.com/

- Ms. Nori, Ms. Shelley, and Mr. Brad will hold on to any money while we are on tour if parents want us to.
- Fundraising- Opt outs
- If you want to opt out of fundraising for tips, you may choose to pay.
- The total cost for tips for the entire trip is $60 per traveler (adult or student).
- Checks should be made payable to Talbot Youth Travel and will be earmarked to your account for tips.
- Fundraiser- Christmas Artisans’ Market, Christmas in Easton weekend, Gift wrapping Station
- December 1-3, Waterfowl Building
- Proceeds will be divided evenly to student volunteers towards their tips.
- We will need to provide gift wrap and supplies. (I will contact Wal-Mart, Target, and Newscenter for possible donation of materials.)
- 2 rolls of quality paper per person

- Other Fundraisers

- Pit beef sale—we’ll table this until the Spring if we need additional funds
- Multi-family yard sale—I will check with the Elks for available dates and will communicate updates through email.
- St. Michael’s Running Festival—save the date, May 19th
- Upcoming Meetings
- We will not meet in November or December.
- Meetings will restart monthly in January.
- March, April, and May meetings are mandatory
